It is along the outskirts of the city and in small pockets within that the poorest residents of Cairo make their home. Along these streets the buildings are so deteriorating it is a wonder people can even live here. Not lit by any lamp or torch, these streets remain pitch black during at night.

The Bazaar

The major bazaar in Cairo, situated near the noble district. One side of the bazaar sells mostly foreign and local culture wares, while the other side sells day to day necessities. The tents and the shops hard to navigate if you are not familiar with them.

A mysterious head that rises from the ground, his nose apparently carved off and his headress missing chunks of stone; it is called the Sphinx and has been since days immemorial. Perhaps its body lies buried underneath the sand or perhaps not, but still one wonders for what reason was it placed here.
