"I suppose." She smiled absently at nothing. "I am - happy. Much happier now then I ever was then."

"I suppose I should feel guilty for saying that, but I don't. I wasn't very happy when I was simply human. Now - now I have everything I ever wanted. Is that really so bad?"

"I do not think that it is neccesarily bad." He ponders for a moment and runs his tongue slightly against the outside of his upper lip. "It would depend on what you wanted, I think."

Her hands twitched absently as she folded them in her lap. "Whose gospel do you spread, priest?" She tilted her face to the moonlight, eyes closed, an expression of calm enjoyment spreading across her features. "Whose words are it that whisper at the edges of your mind?"

"I spread the word of Christ." He asnwers as if it should be obvious. "And God's words are always at the forefront of my mind." He says softly, correcting her.

"And who is your god?" Tavani's voice was softly curious, but unrelenting. "There are as many as grains of sand on the beach." She held up a hand, examining it critically. "Or as stars in the night sky." She lifted her eyes upwards.
