Yazed scowled deeply in frustration, glaring at Karim with a tint of the Beast behind his gaze. This was turning out to be a long and irritating night, especially for what seemed to be an absurdly simple task. "I had come to your home under what I had thought was the safe assumption that you were a reasonable man, willing to help one scholar of the Koran speak with another; I see now that that assumption was incorrect.

"The demands on my time are such that I simply can not attend Imam Hakim's sermons, and so I seek him in the time that I have available to me. I would think that the imam would not approve of you pointlessly delaying me from having a simple conversation with him. I will ask you once more, please tell me how I may arrange a meeting with the imam; that is all I seek."

Karim takes a sip of his tea. "Allah comes before all things, if a faithful man wishes to learn and discuss Allah, he puts aside all lesser obligations." Karim says in the same calm voice that he speaks in.

"And yet, too often, if those lesser obligations are ignored, they can have consequences that can distract yet more time away from the study of God, in a vicious cycle of distraction." Yes, bursting into flame under the sunlight would certainly limit the time Yazed could dedicate to study...

"Thus do I tend to the smaller matters during the day, when I have time to do so, so that I can better dedicate the rest of my time to the exaltation of God. I fail to see how it is your place to judge such things, and thus bar me from speaking to imam Hakim while time and circumstances allow it." Yazed straightened in his chair, watching Karim's face. "I ask now, why do you detain me from my peaceful task?"

"Allah gives men everything that they need, if a man cannot give Allah one day in return..." He seems to pause for a moment. "I have told you where you may meet the Imam and I will even warn him of your coming. Yet you allow minor events in your life to stop you. Obviously you must not wish to meet that much or perhaps you do not wish to meet him in public." He says turning a suspicious eye upon the visiting Shiek.

Yazed clamped down on his fury, rising from his seat. "I had hoped to be able to maintain a discussion with the imam, which may be difficult to do if we are surrounded by the people who adore him so. However, it is clear that you have naught better to do with your time but obstruct the path of an honest seeker of knowledge; I will therefore take my leave of you." He looked to the guards in the room, waiting to be shown out.

Karim nods to his guards and they open the door and led Yazed back to the streets.

Yazed walked with the guards silently to the street, not looking back at them as he left the estate. A gesture to the shadows, and Esam came to meet him from the position where he had been waiting. Yazed looked to his ghoul and issued his orders. "You will attend the imam Hakim's sermon tomorrow, and attempt to arrange for the imam to meet me tomorrow night. If you cannot do that, you will follow the imam, and find out where he is staying so that I may visit him in the night. Let us hope that we do not continue to be frustrated in this errand."
