He looks at it quickly, "Forty-five," he says without hesitation.

"Yes, the East does sometimes call to my heart, though I must admit being here in Cairo does sate some of those desires as much of the East comes here."

He asked slightly confused.

"I am unsure of the coin system used here. Did you mean gold or silver?"

"I have the gold, my good sir. It is just that I have many other coins as well and I wished to make certain that I paid with the correct ones."

Jaladhi responds in a gently chastising tone. He reaches into his robe and pulls out a bag from which he counts out forty-five gold coins and hands them to the Marquis.

He takes the coins without fanfare and hands over the purchased merchandise. "May you find your greatest fortune in their beauty."

"No, my good sir, I am afraid that I am overdue for an appointment and I will have to take my leave of you."

He says with a bit of remorse present in voice.

"Though I would wish to see your shop again soon."

He smiles and offers to walk him out of the shop.
