Hadeel approaches the gypsy's corner dressed in pale pink, and heeled by a handsome young man with large dark eyes. She draws near and pauses to admire the merchandise.

After a few moments and exchanged pleasantries with the merchant at hand, she asks mildly, "Good sir, I have come to see Nicu Caumlo. Is he about?"

"I am. Nicu says, emerging from the back with several coins in hand. Following him, an attractive Egyptian woman emerges as well, wearing a simple pendant, which would be worth far less than the value of the coins Nicu held. Smiling widely, she blows a kiss to Nicu as she leaves. Nicu smiles widely and, after she leaves the shop and has been gone for a few moments, Nicu winks to Hadeel. "She thinks she just made the best deal of her life on a magnificent emerald pendant from the finest jeweler in Europe. She came around insulting the wares here one too many times and now everyone will see her as the fool she is, when they can't see for the life of them what is so special about her 'prized pendant.' Anyways, how can I help you, Hadeel?"

Hadeel laughs softly, watching the woman leave.
"An elegant gesture."
She turns back to him, smiling warmly.
"It has been to long. I wish that I could say honestly I had come simply for the pleasure of speaking with you, but I fear there is something pressing about which I must speak with you." She shakes her head wryly. "And an odd tale it makes, at that. Perhaps, at least, it will be entertaining to hear."

"A pressing matter, you say? Alright. Come on into the back of the shop and we can discuss what you have to say. I am always more than happy to speak with you, whether it be in regards to a pressing matter or simply to pass the time." Nicu retreats behind the curtain into the rear of the store. He took a seat in the room that served as a meeting place whenever Cainites came to visit. At the moment, it was in some disarray with items from the shop lying about.

"I do. The Prince discussed it a little while ago. He didn't give many details, but I am aware of their presence in the city." Nicu leans back in his seat with a small smile on his face. "Why do you ask, Hadeel? Have they targeted you with their games in some way?"

Hadeel smiles ruefully.
"Rather I seem to have blundered into it. I knew nothing of them, I was merely curious about the new amir, and then more curious still about what our Prince and his courtiers had to discuss with the strange and beautiful creature the amir turned out to be. Unfortunately it seems I make a most clumsy spy. The prince was not amused."

"So, your problem is with the Prince and not the Fae? Heh. I fear I can be of less assistance with the Prince than I could with the fae. He was annoyed that you tried to learn of the game that the Faerie play in our city? Or did you do something more specific to earn his ire?"

"Only the prying, and he is pacified now. For, you see, as punishment for my transgression he and the fae amir agreed that I should take on their errand." She shrugs with a rueful expression.
"And so, you see, I am now tasked with playing this game on the amir's behalf."
